How long does it take for area rugs and furniture to dry?
Most upholstery cleaning appointments take about 1 to 2 hours from start to finish. After we’re done, plan for around 10 to 12 hours of drying time with normal airflow in the room.
Need things to dry faster? Couch Restore Co offers a quick-dry option using air movers — powerful fans that push air through the fabric. With good ventilation and your AC or household fans running, drying time can drop to just 3 to 4 hours.

Do you need to prepare anything before we arrive?
Not much at all. Before your upholstery cleaning appointment, just remove decorative pillows and any loose items from the furniture. That’s it.
We bring all our professional equipment with us — you don’t need to rent anything or pre-treat stains on your own. We handle everything from there.
Will cleaning change the color or texture of my upholstery fabric?
Professional upholstery cleaning is designed to restore your fabric’s appearance, not alter it. Before we begin, we always test on a hidden spot to check how the fabric responds.
In most cases, furniture looks noticeably brighter and fresher after professional fabric cleaning. Very old or faded fabrics can sometimes show uneven discoloration once built-up dirt is removed. If that risk applies to your piece, we’ll let you know during our inspection.
